@marusaky Good post. The real issue with Flarum is that even the most minor of changes requires a extension, which is crazy. With NodeBB, you can make changes on the fly very easily, and without too much effort.
For years, phpBB used to reign supreme - now it’s incredibly dated, and always did have the most confusing admin panel I’ve ever seen.
@DownPW No issues. Thanks to the Google Chrome “bug”, it does have some restrictions, but works fine other than that. I have an odd issue where it doesn’t work on Firefox mobile, but works fine on Firefox desktop.
@pwsincd On checking this plugin, the install appears to actually fail - see the below from the log

I was able to add user field on user creation by using hook filter:user.create. Now I noticed that the field is not generally available on the profile and to make it available we need to use the filter:user.whitelistFields . Please correct me if I am wron...
@crazycells love this article. You’re absolutely right about people using colors that are either completely at odds with the scheme on their own site, or have no real concept of theming itself or swatches.
There’s nothing worse than garish colour on a web site. Nothing more than back button fodder.
@crazycells hmm. Good point. I actually use my own version of the dark mode plugin, so not entirely sure. However, I think the CSS is probably the same. I’m not at my PC currently but can check and advise later.
